Tao, situated at the new chilling place – Sunway Giza Kota Damansara, providing authentic Asian cuisine buffet. I always wanted to try it out and thanks to my younger sis that paid me a visit on Raya, I got the chance to bring her there.

I feel comfortable with the design, interior and the lighting of the restaurant. Advance reservation is necessary as it is always full of people.




After being located seat, the waiter will ask for your order. Yes, this is an ala-cart style buffet that you can order anything in the menu. Besides, of course there is also self-service corner for you to take sashimi, oyster, sushi etc.

Besides, there is also a barbeque corner. You can choose the ingredients to let them barbeque for you and the dish will be served later to your table. Clips on your table are needed at the barbeque site.

I’m quite satisfied with their foods but pretty disappointed with the ice-cream. You can’t find Haage-Danzs , New Zealand Natural or Baskin Robin here. The ice-creams offered are just so-so. Sorry that I didn’t take any photo of the ice-cream and desserts but there is a chocolate fountain beside ice-cream corner.

Overall, the food is tasty and fresh but we need to wait quite a long time for our orders to be served. The portion of each order is not big also. My advice is to order much food first cuz you won’t know when your food will be served.

We were given three RM10 dinner vouchers for two persons, until 31 October 2010.

Asam Laksa@ PappaRich

Yeah, I love to eat Asam Laksa. There was one time I tried the asam laksa at PappaRich, Three Two Square and I really love it. I went back to PappaRich again at Kota Damansara, hoping to taste the asam laksa.

Menu

I remember clearly that the Asam Laksa I ate at Three Two Square was full with fish but the one that I ate at Kota Damansara, the fish was smashed. The taste is ok but less ‘ohmm’ if compared with the branch at Three Two Square.

- Thick rice noodles served in aromatic fish-based tamarind broth with shredded pineapple, lettuce, red chili, cucumber, onion, galangal, and lemongrass. Topped with shrimp paste and mint.

Xin Chun Seafood Steamboat@Kota Damansara

Thanks to NTF for bringing me to this seafood steamboat as I seldom go for steamboat. Just a reminder that all the steamboat set here require minimum 2 pax, so don’t go alone! ^^ There are two sets available, which are Ketam Set and Seafood Set. Obviously, we’d like to try both of them. =)

This is a nice place for seafood steamboat. The seafood is really fresh and the portion is quite big. We were actually too full to finish those two sets, it is better to have 3 persons for 2 steamboat sets. =)
