金旭屋Kinsahi Ya@JB Aeon Jusco Bukit Indah

Craving for Japanese food at Johor? 金旭屋 Kinsahi Ya is a good choice for you ^^ There are plenty of branches at Johor Bahru - Aeon Jusco Bukit Indah, Plaza Pelangi, Aeon Jusco Tebrau City, Sutera Mall, City Square and Aeon Jusco Bukit Tinggi.

One of the famous and special Maki(卷寿司) there is Imperial Ebi Maki卧虎藏龙 and you really shouldn't miss it! Each ebi maki is covered by slice of mango and the fragrant of mango is left in your mouth after u eat the maki. Oyishi!!!!! xD

Soft shell crab is one of my favourite too. The name of Spider King Ramen attracted me. =)

My first time trying porridge + salmon. Actually nothing special, you can choose to eat the salmon by raw or make it hot by putting it in your porridge. Still, a good trying for me. =)

Overall, I enjoy myself and satisfy with the service there. Food is tasty and fresh with affordable price.

Rakuzen@Desa Park City

Before Rakuzen has been taken over by Super Dining, it was used to be listed as those exclusive high Japanese restaurant. Now, Rakuzen still serves quality and fresh Japanese cuisine with affordable price. =)

We ordered Mini Udon & Fried Soft Shell Crab Set which came together with chawanmusi, fruits and miso soup.

I love the fried golden soft shell crab as they were crispy and fresh.

Fusion Haven Café & Restaurant 无国界天地

If you want to eat Japanese food, Korean food, Asian food and Western food at the same time, then you must not miss Fusion Haven Café & Restaurant 无国界天地 which is situated at Sri Petaling~! This is the right place for you because they serve a variety of Japanese, Korean, Italian, Western and Chinese cuisines in creative ways. =)

Fusion Mango Salad@RM10.90

For appetizer, we had their signature Fusion Mango Salad. It is served in a basket of crispy batter ringed.

Besides mango, you can find raisins and pumpkin seeds on top. Putting the soft mango and crispy batter together, we couldn't stop ourselves to have more.

Kimuchi Unagi Omelette@RM15.90

Kimuchi Unagi Omelette, another interesting dish that we would like to try as it is a combination of Korean and Japanese food. (As you can see from the name, Kimchi & Unagi ^^) The combination of Japanese sweet sauce and Kimchi in the rice is really tasty.

Last but not least the dessert~! I strongly recommend this Warm Heart Chocolate & Ice Cream - the specialty of Fusion Haven. You might find it very normal but inside the muffin, there is rich hot chocolate! Eating together with the vanilla ice-cream, it really can warm your heart! ^^

Marufuku Udon@ Jaya One

If you always been in Jaya One, then you should know this modern Japanese casual dining place – Marufuku Udon~! They claimed themselves the first and only fresh udon concept in Malaysia. The udon is handmade and delivered to the outlet daily.

This is a self-service place that you need to order yourself like some other fast food outlets. It offers a variety of udon either cold or hot and the cheapest udon is RM6.00.

I like the Nabeyaki Udon which is served in fish-based broth, hot in claypot and topped with tempura ebi, fish cake, fried tofu, shiitake mushroom, egg & chopped spring onion.

The Curry Udon that I ordered was not that satisfying. It is just chicken curry udon topped with chopped spring onion. It was not hot enough and I just could feel a bit of curry taste.

Niku Udon is served in Japanese fish-based broth, topped with thinly sliced beef strips & chopped spring onion. It is quite good.

It is a nice place for a simple lunch, affordable for quality udon. =)

Ramen Play@313 Somerset, Singapore

I went to Singapore for shopping last few week and my 1st stop was at 313 Somerset. Not really went and found good food because the main purpose was to shop, LOL. However, I found that this Ramen Play is quite a nice place.
