Frontera Sol of Mexico@Jaya One

Located at the place full of restaurant and cafe- Jaya One, Frontera Sol of Mexico(formerly known as Frontera Bar & Grill) has its own specialty which serves authentic Mexican & Tex-Mex cuisine. I went there with my students one day after the dance class.

Cajun Fish & Chips@RM22.95
-Southern-fried Dory fish dusted with corn meal and served with jalapeno remoulade,
seasoned fries and jalapeno coleslaw.

Chicka Boom Boom@RM26.95
-Juicy chicken breast, hand bread it with crushed potato chips and then flash fry it and top with a spicy Tex-Mex garlic sauce, serve with Mexican rice.

Chicka Boom Boom is the specialty of Frontera, many people claim that this is the best! =)

Frontera Chicken Burrito@RM15.95
-Frontera chicken, refried beans, and Frontera fire sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla,
serve with Mexican rice and choice of beans.

The burrito is just nice with thin flour wrapper and tasty chicken.

Students and I =)

Overall, the food tasted good and nice ambiance, just maybe it is a little bit pricy. You may like to try the Mexican & Tex-Mex food once~ =)

Marufuku Udon@ Jaya One

If you always been in Jaya One, then you should know this modern Japanese casual dining place – Marufuku Udon~! They claimed themselves the first and only fresh udon concept in Malaysia. The udon is handmade and delivered to the outlet daily.

This is a self-service place that you need to order yourself like some other fast food outlets. It offers a variety of udon either cold or hot and the cheapest udon is RM6.00.

I like the Nabeyaki Udon which is served in fish-based broth, hot in claypot and topped with tempura ebi, fish cake, fried tofu, shiitake mushroom, egg & chopped spring onion.

Nabeyaki Udon@ RM10.00

The Curry Udon that I ordered was not that satisfying. It is just chicken curry udon topped with chopped spring onion. It was not hot enough and I just could feel a bit of curry taste.

Curry Udon@ RM8.00

Niku Udon is served in Japanese fish-based broth, topped with thinly sliced beef strips & chopped spring onion. It is quite good.

Niku Udon@ RM10.00

Besides udon, there are also some Japanese snacks.

Bonjiri & Hatsu@ RM1.00 each!

Green Tea@ RM1.00 each

It is a nice place for a simple lunch, affordable for quality udon. =)

There is no government tax, no service charge and no Trans fat. ^^

Brussels Beer Café@ Jaya One

Well, Jaya One and two visits post again~ ^^ The 1st visit was quite a long time ago, last Christmas eve. Quite a number of us went there, including TTM, our client. We actually wanted to try its set lunch but too bad it was public holiday eve so they din offer any set lunch.

The environment was nice and cozy but it was not spacious. The tables are almost full during lunch hour.

The deco on the wall

The Menu

We browsed through the menu and it was hardly for us to make an order. Well, maybe this is bcuz it is a beer café or the western cuisine is a bit too pricey for us.

Finally, what we all ordered Pasta~ =)

Brussels Pasta@ RM20.80 -Sauté Pasta with fresh chilies, egg plants & prawns.

As I am not a cheesy and cream lover, this pasta actually suited me.

Carbonara Pasta@ RM20.80 -Creamy pasta with pork bacon top with parmesan cheese.

I do not really into pasta, so I chose something else to fill my stomach and it was waffles. ^^

Belgian Waffles@ RM10.80

-Warm homemade waffles served with thick chocolate sauce, honey, butter and ice-cream.

That was our 1st visit to Brussels Beer Café and I didn’t really enjoy it much due to its slow service. We waited about half and hour before our pasta was actually served. And one more thing was that we haven’t tried its set lunch and this brought us for the 2nd visit.

The outdoor seat

We were forced to sit outside, as it was a full house. Nothing bad, just hot a bit.

The choices of set lunch from Monday to Friday~~Only RM15 NET!

Wohoo~ New Item, must try!!!

As we went there on Friday, we definitely can only choose those were in the categories of ‘Friday’.

Since so coincidence that three of us went there, we decided to order two different set lunches on Friday and the new item-Padini Sandwishes!

For your information, all set lunches are served with salad and a soft drink. Salad is self-service and refillable while the drinks are also bottomless.

Salad

Iced Lemon Tea

Whole Chicken Leg with Corn on the Cob and Brown Sauce

Traditional Fish & Chips

Daily Padini Sandwiches

Toasted Padini Hawaiian Style Cajun Chicken, Pineapple & BBQ Sauce with Fries

This set is RM14.90++ with a glass of soft drinks.

Overall, I prefer the 2nd visit as the set lunches were nice. They were really tasty and yummy and it was considered cheap!
