Suchan@The Curve

Suchan, is famous for its cake and dessert. Thank to my ex-boss, I got the chance to try out this restaurant as my farewell party. We went for its newly open branch at The Curve where the location is a bit not strategic as it is situated at the Link Bridge between The Curve and e-Curve, quite hard for people to find it.

We started our meals with Top Hats (Pie Tee) and Fish Cake.

Top Hats (Pie Tee)@RM4.00 for 2 pcs

Pie Tee is a Nyonya dish which got a thin crispy cup base filled with shredded carrots, tumips and dried shrimps.

Fish Cake, served with Thai sauce@RM6.00

Enough for starter, let's dig for main dish.

Maharaja Chicken@RM22.00
-marinated and boneless chicken leg with romaine lettuce & curry mango sauce

Chicken & Mushroom Pie@RM19.00
-traditional chunky chicken & mushroom pie in creamy sauce

Aglio Olio@RM22.00
-served with tiger prawns, mussels, and chilies flakes mixed in olive oil

Alfredo@RM20.00
-asparagus creamy with salmon cubes and shiitake mushroom slices

Beef Lasagne@RM15.00
-home minced beef prepared with button mushroom and whole peeled tomatoes
with cheese variants

Thai Laksa@RM15.00

Frankly speaking, I am not a cheese and cream lover so I don't really taste the food much but according to my ex-colleagues, the food there are not bad. I still feel that there are room for improvement.

Time for dessert now! I think the well-known cake maker won't disappoint me. =)

Tiramisu
-the signature cake, coffee-syrup-soaked sponge, sandwich with cheese & bittersweet
choc slices, topped with almond pralines

Marjolaine
-layers of almonds & hazelnuts cake with layers of choc ganache & praline butter cream

Creme Caramel
-homemade with fresh ingredients & homemade caramel sauce

*If I not mistaken, a piece of cake costs RM8.90.

The cakes really taste good so if you crave for cake, you may try Suchan for high tea. =)

Italiannies@ The Curve

One of the reason I like Italiannies besides of their classic design, is this free bread, LOL… The bread is really soft and nice. =) Yum Yum

I know it’s a bit weird that I love the food at Italiannies but I don’t eat cheese. LOL~ I love their course meal set that only cost RM27.90++ with 1 appetizer and 1 main course. There were 3 of us but we only ordered 2 sets because we knew the portion is kinda big!

1st appetizer : Toasted Bruschetta
-Homemade Tuscan bread topped with marinated tomatoes, pesto sauce, and parmesan cheese

I specially ask them not to put the cheese on top because I won’t eat. LOL~ I tried to eat this before with cheese on top before but I really can’t put into my mouth so this time no more cheese on top. >.<
2nd appetizer : Clear Broth with Pasta Soup
-Homemade chicken soup with pasta

1st main course : Pan Fried Fish with Butter and Capers
-Pan fried dory fish, served with chef’s vegetables and topped with capers sauce.

2nd main course : Ham & Mushroom Pizza
-Served with tomato, mozzarella cheese, turkey ham and mixed mushroom

Grape Shakes@RM8.50

I love this drink so much! You really can feel the grape in the drink, no kidding XD

Overall, I really enjoyed the lunch so much. The food is nice and tasty, ambience is good and the services are satisfying. =)
